This year marks CIWM's 125th Anniversary and, as we celebrate this remarkable milestone, our thoughts also turn to the next 125 years and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. As we set out when we launched our EDI strategy last year, we know we need diversity of thought and experience to move the world beyond waste. One of the ways we can achieve this is by connecting with the bright and talented individuals who are just now setting out in their careers, and who will lead the charge tomorrow. 

As part of this work, CIWM is launching a next-generation presidential cohort to sit alongside, support, and learn from our existing Presidential Team. This team will provide an opportunity for future leaders to help shape our community and further our ambitions by providing a new perspective, raising the profile of the profession amongst their peers, and acting as role models for emerging talent in the sector. It also provides a valuable opportunity for us to nurture and develop outstanding young professionals, helping them achieve their ambitions, realise their potential, and prepare them for a bright future ahead. 

We want to make sure that those we are looking to attract with the introduction of this new team have the opportunity to shape what it looks like, including its name and structure.
