About this training
The metal recycling industry processes scrap metal into vital secondary raw materials ready for smelting into new metals. These sites have had a consistently poor fatal accident rate for several years.
The Metal Recycling Contractor Competency Scheme (MRCCS) has been developed in collaboration with the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA). The MRCCS tests provide evidence of individual capability and competency; enabling organisations to quickly and easily check that contractors have the required skills and training, and health and safety awareness to work on a site in the metal recycling sector. This will lead to improved health and safety in the workplace and reduce the risk of accidents occurring on site.
This e-learning revision guide aims to enhance your knowledge of key information regarding safe and effective working practices at metal recycling sites. The lessons will help to demonstrate your knowledge by completing the course and answering quiz questions, preparing you for their Metal Recycling Contractor Competency Scheme (MRCCS) Test.
