CIWM NI in collaboration with WRAP are running a site visit to Cookstown Textile Recyclers (CTR). CTR is Ireland's largest textile recycling company of more than 20 years, employing over 250 staff. They work closely with charities, government bodies and waste management organisations, both locally and nationally, to divert used clothes and textiles from landfill. 

The morning will comprise of a short technical talk from WRAP about award-winning Textiles 2030 voluntary initiative and how it's Signatories from across the value chain are working together to develop a circular textiles economy, keeping textiles out of the bin, products in use for longer and closing the loop on materials recycling. This will be followed by a guided tour of the site, facilitated by CTR.    

Please bring a hi-vis vest/jacket and wear sensible enclosed shoes/boots.
