RED Industries Site Visits of Aerosols Recycling facility
Please join us for a double site tour of Red Industries Ltd and Walleys Quarry Ltd Facilities.
Date:
Wednesday 28th June 2023
Tour 1
will be of RED Industries, state of the art Aerosols Recycling facility. The facility uses the latest technology on the market resulting in a world leading facility to process aerosols safely in an environmentally responsible way. The process is fully automated.
The UK capacity for specialist aerosol recycling is small with many aerosols not processed in such a way to protect the environment from uncontrolled releases of potentially harmful materials and the commensurate loss of recyclable and recoverable materials. Utilising RED Industries aerosol recycling plant, removes waste from landfill and offers 100% waste recovery.
The processing unit is designed to be compact, and self contained, fitting inside a 20ft (6m) container. When fed aerosol containers, the processing unit safely removes and collects the waste contents, captures, and contains gaseous and liquid contents and bales the empty metal containers. All 100% recyclable and non-odorous. The scheme has also created c.10 skilled jobs in the local area.
Tour 2
will be of Walleys Quarry Landfill which offers customers a safe disposal method for waste that cannot be otherwise re-used or recycled. You may have heard of Walleys Quarry in the news so, come and see for yourself how the team of experts carefully manage and monitor the site through a set of tight controls and procedures to the highest standards and ensure compliance with all legal and governmental policies and regulations working to minimise any impact on the environment now and for the future of the site.
Please Note
- Expectations are that guests bring their own standard PPE - safety helmet, safety shoes/boots, hi-vis vest/coat/tabard and safety glasses.
- All guests need to be responsible for their own belongings during the site visits.
