CIWM Individual Membership Fees 2024

Becoming a CIWM member is an important investment in your personal and professional development.

Membership fees are due in January of each year. If you join part way through the year, you will pay a pro rata fee based on the number of months remaining in the year.

How are fees payable?

Student members can join online free of charge and Affiliate members will be asked to pay as part of the online joining process.

All other members will need to apply for a professional grade of membership and will be invoiced once their application has been approved.

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your membership fee and you can choose between annual, quarterly or monthly instalments. We will notify you each year of when your fees are due to be taken.

If you would prefer to pay your fees in one up-front instalment, you can do so by logging into your online account  and paying by credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can pay your fees directly from your bank account to ours by BACS. If you choose to use this payment method, please ensure that you quote your Membership ID number as your reference so that we can trace the payment back to you.

If you would prefer to pay by cheque, please make your cheque payable to ‘CIWM’ for the amount due in sterling, drawn on a London Clearing Bank. Cheques can be posted to CIWM, Quadra, 500 Pavilion Drive, Northampton Business Park, Northampton, NN4 7YJ, England. Please quote your Member ID number on the back of the cheque. Please note that we are only able to accept payment in Sterling and no other currency can be accepted.

What if I join part way through the year?

How do I get a receipt?
Once your payment has cleared, your receipt will automatically be emailed to you. You can also download a receipt from the Subscriptions tab in your online account.

How do I claim tax relief on my membership fees?
If you pay for your membership fee yourself, you may be eligible to claim tax relief. Please visit Gov.uk for more information.
